The first 60-minute Free Practice session at Spa-Francorchamps saw the no85 R-ace GP Duqueine set the fastest lap around the 7km Ardennes circuit.
Hadrien David set a 2m11.615 lap, which was nearly a second faster than the second placed car, the no66 Rinaldi Racing Ligier, with Daniel Keilwitz posting a 2m12.542.The no20 High Class Racing and the no10 Racing Spirit of Leman were third and fourth fastest respectively, with Tommy Foster posting a 2m12.704 compared to the 2m12.982 set by Marius Fossard.
The fastest GT3 car was the no88 AF Corse Ferrari 296 GT3 with Riccardo Agostini lapping the track in 2m17.196, 0.6008s ahead of the no74 Kessel Racing Ferrari of Fran Rueda Mateos.
Championship leader Alessandro Balzan made it a Ferrari 1-2-3 in FP1 with a 2m17.827 in the no51 AF Corse Ferrari, 0.3 seconds ahead of the no73 Proton Huber Competition Porsche in fourth place.
The second Free Practice session will take place 16h20 CEST this afternoon.
