Team Virage Fastest in the Collective Test in Barcelona

The first track action of the 2025 Michelin Le Mans Cup took place at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya today with the MLMC Collective Tests, one 4-hour session in the morning and one 3-hour session in the afternoon.  After a dry morning session, the afternoon saw rain fall on the Spanish track before drying as the clock counted down to the chequered flag.

LMP3

The no16 Team Virage Ligier JS P325-Toyota was the fastest car in both sessions, with Theo Micouris posting a 1m36.454 in the morning to head the LMP3 category. The no97 CLX Motorsport Ligier was quickest in the afternoon, with Cedric Oltramare’s 1m36.838 lap second best out of the two sessions, just edging their teammates in the no87 CLX Motorsport Ligier by 0.2 seconds.

LMP3 Pro/AM

The no66 Rinaldi Racing Ligier-Toyota was the quickest of the 16 LMP3 Pro/Am entries, with Griffin Peebles posting the best time of the day for the class. The Australian’s 1m37.244 lap in the morning session was 0.421s faster than the second placed car, the no49 High Class Racing Ligier driven by Anders Fjordbach. The Dane set the fastest lap in the rain interrupted afternoon session, which was a 1m38.491, 0.036 ahead of Pierre Kaffer in the no64 M Racing Ligier.

GT3

The no33 Kessel Racing Ferrari 296 GT3 was the quickest of the GT3 entries, with David Fumanelli posting a 1m41.466, just 0.051s ahead of Lukas Dunner in the no65 Team Motopark Mercedes-AMG GT3 in the morning session. The no51 AF Corse Ferrari was the quickest of the eight entries in the afternoon, with Eliseo Donno setting a best lap of 1m42.028.
