The 2022 Michelin Le Mans Cup saw 7 full season entries in GT3, with 4 teams and 18 drivers competing in the seven races, representing 8 different nations.
The GT3 grid saw a mouth-watering selection of GT3 machinery including the Honda NSX, Aston Martin Vantage, Porsche 911 GT3 R and Ferrari 488 GT3 on the full season list, with Mercedes AMG GT3, Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo and Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II also seen at least once during the 2022 season.
The GT3 competitors completed 1448 racing laps or 9710.90 kilometres.
Three teams – GMB Motorsport, Ebimotors, AF Corse – won in 2022. Eight different cars took a podium finish at least once during the season.
GMB Motorsport took 12 of the 21 podiums during the season with the #55 Honda scoring six podiums from seven starts, including 2 wins.The #44 and #88 Hondas took three podiums each with the #44 taking two wins and the #88 one win.
In 2022 the race duration was reduced from 120 minutes to 110 minutes for all races, except for the two Road To Le Mans races, which remained at 55-minutes per race.
