43 Cars to Line Up in Spa-Francorchamps

After two long months, the Michelin Le Mans Cup resumes with the fourth event of the 2025 season being held at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps on Saturday 23 August. A total of 86 drivers and 28 teams will be representing 22 different nations, including one team and two drivers from the home country of Belgium.

LMP3 – 18 Cars

After the Road To Le Mans, CLX Motorsport still holds the top two positions at the head of the LMP3 championship standings. The no87 Ligier of Alvise Rodella and Pierre-Alexandre Provost holds a 4-point lead over their teammates David Droux and Cedric Oltramare in the no97 Ligier on 43 points.

Two podiums at Le Mans has put the no85 R-ace GP Duqueine of Hugo Schwarze and Hadrien David up into third place on 38 points, just ahead of RTLM race 2 winners Léna Bühler and Matteo Quintarelli in the no50 23Events Racing Ligier, who head to Spa on 33 points.

There are four driver changes in LMP3 from the last race in Le Mans. Sebastien Gravlund is replacing Sacha Lehmann in the no16 Team Virage Ligier alongside Theo Micouris and Dan Skocdopole will join Haydn Chance in the no26 Bretton Racing Ligier in place of Grégory De Sybourg, who is racing with Team Virage in Belgium.

American Danny Soufi will stand in for Valentino Catalano in the no70 Gebhardt Motorsport Duqueine alongside Oscar Tunjo and Antoine Doquin will join Edgar Pierre in the no86 R-ace GP Duqueine in place of Swedish driver Joel Granfors.

LMP3 Pro-Am – 17 Cars

The LMP3 Pro/Am grid has grown by one, with the no44 Team Virage Ligier racing in Spa-Francorchamps with Poland’s Jacek Zielonka sharing the driving duties with Switzerland’s Grégory De Sybourg.

A double podium in Le Mans, including victory in race 1, extended Stefan Aust’s and Felipe Fernandez-Laser’s lead in the LMP3 Pro/Am standings to 28 points as the no71 Rinaldi Racing Ligier-Toyota heads to Belgium on 63 points.

Round 2 winners Julien Lemoine and Fabien Lavergne are on 35 points in the no84 ANS Motorsport Ligier, just one point ahead of Belgian outfit Motorsport98, with Eric De Doncker racing at home alongside his French teammate and former MLMC champion Gillian Henrion.

There are several driver changes on the LMP3 Pro/Am grid compared to Road To Le Mans. The no10 Racing Spirit of Léman will see two new drivers, with German duo Christian Gisy and Ralf Kelleners racing in Belgium.

Shahan Sarkissian will rejoin Kévin Rabin in the no 31 CD Sport Duqueine while Griffin Peebles will rejoin Steve Parrow in the no66 Rinaldi Racing Ligier.

Britain’s Tim Creswick will join American Bijoy Garg in the no34 Inter Europol Competition Ligier for the race in Belgium.

GT3 – 8 Cars

A good result in Le Mans for Alessandro Cozzi and Eliseo Donno, including a podium finish in Race 1, pushed the no51 AF Corse Ferrari to the top of the championship standings, just two ahead of the winners of Round 2, Philipp Sager and Rory Van Der Steur in the no11 Code Racing Development Aston Martin Vantage.

The local fans will be watching and cheering on the no83 Iron Dames Porsche as most famous name in Belgian motorsport returns to Spa-Francorchamps.Vanina Ickx returns to racing alongside her Spanish teammate Marta Garcia Lopez after missing Road to Le Mans due to ill health.The Belgian-Spanish duo hope to build on the fine 4thplace in Le Castellet in May.

There is one driver change for the GT3 grid with Italian Sabino Marco De Castro replacing Sergiu Nicolae in the no95 Ebimotors Porsche 911 GT3 R for the final three races of the 2025 season.

The rest of the GT3 grid is completed by the two Kessel Racing Ferrari 296s, the Team Motopark Mercedes-AMG and the Biogas Motorsport Ferrari.

Round 4 of the 2025 Michelin Le Mans Cup will take place on Saturday 23 August with qualifying earlier the same day.
