A bumper grid of 46 cars will assemble for Round 4 of the 2021 Michelin Le Mans Cup, with two 55-minute races on the full 13.6km La Sarthe circuit at Le Mans.

The regular MLMC competitors will be joined by a number of race-by-race entries for these two special races, the first on Thursday 19 August at 19h30, and the second on Saturday at 12h15, less than 4 hours before the start of the 89th 24 Hours of Le Mans.

GT3

  1. The GT3 grid will feature eleven cars run by seven teams – 5 x Ferrari 488 GT3, 2 x Porsche 911 GT3R, 1 x Aston Martin Vantage GT3, 2 x Audi R8 LMS and 1 x Mercedes AMG GT3.
  2. Championship leader Nicolas Leutwiler will be joined in the no2 Pzoberer Zurichsee by TFT Porsche by Julien Andlauer. Leutwiler is currently on 55 points after taking a win and two thirds in the first three races of the season. The Swiss driver is 16 points ahead of Ken Abe in the no51 AF Corse Ferrari who will be joined by Edward Cheever for RTLM.
  3. With Sarah Bovy making her debut for Iron Lynx in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Doriane Pin will be joined by Manuela Gostner in the no9 Iron Lynx Ferrari, the young French driver already securing two podium finishes at Le Castellet and Monza so far this season.
  4. The Team Championship leading no8 Iron Lynx Ferrari 488 will see American Logan Sargeant return to the cockpit of the Ferrari. He will be joined by former LMP3 front runner Rory Penttinen.
  5. 2017 Road to Le Mans double race winner Ahmad Al Harthy will compete in the no95 Oman Racing Aston Martin Vantage alongside American Michael Dinan.
  6. ELMS LMP2 Championship leaders Team WRT will be fielding two Audi R8 LMSs. The no34 Audi will be raced by father and son Roald and Benjamin Goethe.
  7. Le Castellet race winner Alfred Renauer returns to the MLMC in the no92 Herberth Motorsport Porsche 911 RSR at Le Mans with fellow German Jürgen Häring.
  8. Former 24 Hours of Le Mans winner and current FIA World Endurance LMGTE Am Champion Emmanuel Collard will race in the no83 Racetivity Mercedes alongside fellow Frenchman Charles-Henri Samani.

LMP3

  1. The Road To Le Mans LMP3 grid will consist of 35 cars run by 21 different teams, with 25 x Ligier JS P320, 9 x Duqueine M30-D08 and 1 x Adess-03 EVO.
  2. Round 3 winners and championship leaders Scott Andrews and Gerald Kraut (no22 United Autosports Ligier) are on 50 points, just two points ahead of Tony Wells and Colin Noble (no7 Nielsen Racing Ligier), with John Schauerman and Wayne Boyd (no23 United Autosports Ligier) on 45 points in third.
  3. With Wayne Boyd making his debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans with United Autosports he will be replaced by Duncan Tappy at the wheel of the n°23 Ligier.
  4. Reigning champions DKR Engineering have won three of the nine Road to Le Mans races held since 2016, with Cool Racing, Graff, Eurointernational, Lanan Racing, United Autosports and DC Racing all winning on one occasion.
  5. The no3 DKR Engineering Duqueine will see Jean Glorieux and Laurents Hörr reunited. The pair won their first Road to Le Mans race together in 2020, with Hörr also winning in 2019 alongside Francois Kirmann and Glorieux winning with Alex Toril in 2017.
  6. After finishing second in Monza, Alexander Mattschull and Nicolas Varrone will be looking for another podium finish at Le Mans in the no66 Rinaldi Racing Duqueine.
  7. Matt Bell and Maurice Smith took a double podium at the Road to Le Mans in 2020. After finishing second at Le Castellet last month, the Anglo-American duo are aiming for the top step of the podium in Le Mans in the no69 Cool Racing Ligier.
  8. Road to Le Mans will see the first entry by an all-Australian team, Revere Lifestyle.The team are running the only Adess-03 EVO on the grid for Andres Latorre Canon and fellow Aussie Garnet Patterson.
