One of the many photoshoots that are conducted during the week before the opening round of the 2022 Michelin Le Mans Cup season at Le Castellet is the travelling photoshoot at lunchtime during the test day at the Circuit Paul Ricard.
This is where three groups of cars, one mixed of six LMP3 and GT3, one group of six LMP3 and a final group of six GT3, follow a road car with the MLMC official photographer Jakob Ebrey and a TV camera operator strapped into the back, to get some fantastic close-up images of the cars on the track, something that is impossible to do during a normal test or practice session.
Two GoPro cameras were also placed on the photo car and on one of the GMB Motorsport Honda NSX GT3s to get a behind the scenes timelapse video of the 20-minute photoshoot.
