The Belgian flagged no21 Muehlner Motorsport Duqueine of Ugo de Wilde set the best time in the second 60-minute practice session at Spa-Francorchamps with the Belgian driver posting a 2m15.256 lap.
De Wilde’s time was just 0.060s ahead of Matt Bell in the no69 Cool Racing Ligier and two tenths ahead of the no22 United Autosport Ligier of Scott Andrews.
The session was red flagged seven minutes before the chequered flag when the no3 DKR Engineering Duqueine of Jon Brownson, the American getting his car beached in the gravel trap.The session was ended when there wasn’t time to recover the car and resume before the clock counted down to zero.
The no2 Pzoberer Zürichsee by TFT Porsche of Julien Andlauer was the quickest of the GT3 runners with the French driver finishing on a 2m20.799 lap, 0.066s ahead of the no8 Iron Lynx Ferrari.
The scene is now set for qualifying for the 2-hour race at Spa-Francorchamps with the GT3s on track at 12h10 followed by the LMP3s at 12h35.
