We take a quick look at the championship position after the second race of the 2024 Michelin Le Mans Cup at Le Castellet and ahead of the Road To Le Mans event next month.
After two races COOL Racing and R-ace GP are tied on 35 points at the head of the championship standings. COOL Racing is classified in first thanks to the win last time out in Le Castellet, with R-ace GP finishing 2nd in Barcelona and 3rd in Le Castellet, each time from pole position.
Round 1 winners High Class Racing are on 33 points after finishing 6th in Le Castellet. The next three teams in the championship standings are covered by just 1 point with the no34 Inter Europol Competition Ligier on 19 points, one point ahead of the no44 Team Virage and no77 Team Thor Ligiers on 18 points after two races.
Team Virage are classified as 5th in the standings thanks to the second place finish in Le Castellet, while Team Thor finished 6th in Barcelona and 5th in Le Castellet.
The no51 AF Corse Ferrari has taken 51 points from a possible 52 points in an almost perfect start to the 2024 season.The team have scored two victories and a pole position in Barcelona, and only missing out on the pole in Le Castellet by 0.156 seconds.
The no74 Kessel Racing Ferrari 296 GT3 is second in the standings on 33 points after two podium finishes in Barcelona and Le Castellet, with the no83 Iron Dames Lamborghini in third place on 25 points after the team finished second from pole in Le Castellet.
The no12 Kessel Racing Ferrari is 4th on 24 points, the no88 AF Corse Ferrari in 5th on 21 points and the no18 High Class Racing Porsche in 6th on 20 points.
Round 3 of the 2024 Michelin Le Mans Cup will be the Road To Le Mans on 13-15 June in support of the 92nd edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
