We take a quick look at the championship position after the third race of the 2024 Michelin Le Mans Cup, the Road To Le Mans.

LMP3 Leader: COOL Racing

Two podium finishes in Le Mans has enabled COOL Racing (David Droux, Adrien Chila) to extend the championship lead. The no97 Ligier finished 3rd in Race 1 but secured second placed points due to the fact the winning car, the no22 WTM by Rinaldi Racing Duqueine, was not eligible for points. However, only half points were awarded in the first race due to the number of race laps completed.

The no97 Ligier took 2nd place on the road in Race 2 and left Le Mans with 47.5 points. The no20 High Class Racing Ligier took third place in Race 2 and is currently on 40 points, as is the no85 R-ace GP Duqueine, after only securing five points out of the two races.

Team Thor are 4th on 25 points, the no44 Team Virage is 5th on 19.5 points, 0.5 points ahead of Inter Europol Competition. RTLM Race 2 winners MV2S Racing move into the Top 10 in 9th overall with the 15 points they secured by taking the chequered flag first on Saturday morning at Le Mans.

GT3 LEADER: AF Corse

The no51 AF Corse Ferrari (Alessandro Balzan, Matt Kurzejewski) secured two second place finishes in Le Mans to maintain their championship lead. The Italian squad are in 64.5 points, 26 points ahead of the no74 Kessel Racing Ferrari and a further 5 points ahead of the third placed car, the no12 Kessel Racing Ferrari after the Swiss team won the first Road To Le Mans encounter.

The no88 AF Corse Ferrari makes it a Ferrari 1-2-3-4 in the standings, with 30.5 points, just 1 point ahead of the no18 High Class Racing Porsche and 3.5 points ahead of the Iron Dames Lamborghini.

RTLM Race 2 winners move up to 8thin the standings after the no90 Aston Martin Vantage took the chequered flag in front of the huge crowd getting ready for the 92nd edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Round 4 of the 2024 Michelin Le Mans Cup will be in Spa-Francorchamps on 24 August.
