Here are some driver's reactions following the Spa round, second race of the 2020 Michelin Le Mans Cup.
Tony Wells – n°7 Nielsen Racing Duqueine M30-D08 – 3rd place
“I’m very happy with that result, but I did miss going to the podium properly. It was really good and great to keep up our record here at Spa Francorchamps. The car was nice to drive – we did well - the start was okay, just need to find more pace in qualifying, but a positive result"
John Shauerman – n°23 United Autosports Ligier JS P320 –– 4th place
“Fourth place is my best result. I think the credit really goes to Wayne as he killed it. I was happy to bring the car in for the pit stop and get the driver change done. Wayne is so fast, watching him catch up to people and pass them is incredible, he’s such a good driver. I did my bit and I didn’t make any big mistakes. I was pleased that I could run decent laps and I was happy with my stint. It was a great day and my personal best result as a team mate so a huge thanks to United and Wayne for that.”
David Hauser – n°11 Racing Experience Duqueine M30-D08 – 8th place
“It is always a good day when you get to race at Spa, but to come away with our first points of the season in this very competitive championship makes it even better. Well done to Nicolas for a great qualifying and it’s a shame that we lost some positions in the pit stops. As a driver, you obviously want to be further forward, but our target today was to complete the race, and to score points is a bonus.”
