The second and final Free Practice session as Silverstone saw two LMP3 Pro/Am cars take the first two places on the timing screens with the no66 Rinaldi Racing Ligier leading the way.
Griffin Peebles time in the no66 Ligier was 1m54.420, 0.108s ahead of the no98 Motorsport98 Ligier of Gillian Henrion.The time set by Peebles was 0.418s slower than the best time in the morning session, which had been set by Hadrien David in the no85 R-ace GP Duqueine.David set the third best time overall in FP2 with a 1m54.623, which was the best LMP3 class time of the 60-minute session.
The second fastest LMP3 time was set by Matteo Quintarelli in the no50 23Events Racing Ligier in fourth overall with a 1m54.772, 0.012s ahead of the LMP3 Pro/Am championship leading car, the no71 Rinaldi Racing Ligier of Felipe Fernandez-Laser.
The no51 AF Corse took the top spot in GT3, with Alessandro Cozzi posting a 2m00.712s lap late in the session to push the no83 Iron Dames Porsche of Marta Garcia down into second spot with a 2m01.605.The best times in FP2 were still well down on the best GT3 time of the day, a 1m59.097 set by the no11 Code Racing Development Aston Martin of Valentin Hasse Clot in FP1.
Qualifying for Round 5 of the 2025 Michelin Le Mans Cup will start at 11h50 on Saturday morning.
