The first free practice session of the 2025 Michelin Le Mans Cup in Barcelona saw the no50 23Events Racing Ligier JS P325-Toyota finish at the top of the time sheets after Léna Bühler posted a 1m36.176 lap of the 4.657km track.
The 60-minute session was interrupted several times by red flags to recover cars that had gone off track into the gravel, with the Spanish marshals working quickly to get the session green again as fast as possible.
The no66 Rinaldi Racing Ligier was the quickest of the LMP3 Pro/Am entrants, with Griffin Peebles setting a 1m36.841 lap which was also good enough for second place overall.
The no87 CLX Motorsport Ligier of Pierre-Alexander Provost was third fastest overall and second in LMP2, 1.284s behind the no50 Ligier, with the no85 R-ace GP Duqueine D09-Toyota of Hadrien David just 0.263 behind the no87 Ligier.
The no88 R-ace GP Duqueine was second in LMP2 Pro/am with Fabien Lavergne setting a 1m38.043, 1.202s behind the no66 Rinaldi Racing and 0.320s ahead of Gillian Henrion in the no98 Motorsport98 Ligier in third.
The no95 Ebimotors Porsche 911 GT3 R was the fastest of the eight GT3 entries with Sergiu Nicolae posting a 1m41.358 lap to take the top spot in the class.The no33 Kessel Racing Ferrari was second quickest, David Fumanelli’s time just 0.032s behind the Porsche and 0.234s ahead of the third fastest car, the no83 Iron Dames Porsche driven by Marta Garcia.
The second Free Practice session will take place at 17h35 this afternoon.
