The first Free Practice session of the final weekend of the 2024 Michelin Le Mans Cup saw the championship leading no85 R-ace GP Duqueine set the fastest time of the 60-minute session, with the no74 Kessel Racing Ferrari heading the times in GT3.
Hadrien David posted the best time with a 1m38.970 lap around the 4.653km Autodromo Internacional do Algarve, 0.872s ahead of the second fastest car, the no97 COOL Racing Ligier with Le Castellet race winner David Droux at the wheel.
The no42 Steller Motorsport Duqueine of Sennan Fielding was third fastest with a 1m39.981 lap, 1.011s behind the lead car and just 0.022s ahead of the no66 Rinaldi Racing Ligier of Wyatt Brichacek.
In GT3 the no74 Kessel Racing Ferrari lapped in a time of 1m43.516 with Fran Rueda Mateos at the wheel, 0.493s ahead of the no83 Iron Dames Lamborghini Huracan in the hands of Karen Guillard.
The no23 Biogas Motorsport Ferrari was third quickest with a 1m44.099 lap, with the no73 Proton Huber Competition Porsche in fourth.
