The first of two 60-minute free practices session on day 1 of the Road To Le Mans weekend on the world famous La Sarthe circuit in France saw the 50 cars take to the track. Overnight rain and an air temperature of 20 degrees meant grip was at a premium for all competitors.

Double Road To Le Mans race winner Laurents Hörr posted the fastest time of the session, with a 3m47.934 lap of the 13.6km track in the no3 DKR Engineering Duqueine he shares with American Jon Brownson, 1.6 seconds behind his own lap record of 3m46.374 he set in 2021.
The German was 0.299 seconds ahead of Malthe Jakobsen in the no69 Cool Racing Ligier, with the two young drivers over a second ahead of the rest of the field, which was headed by the no23 United Autosports Ligier of Wayne Boyd.
