With cloud cover and slightly lower temperatures at the Circuit Paul Ricard the times in the second Free Practice session were slower than the morning session, with the best time set by the no87 CLX Motorsport Ligier seven tenths slower than the best time in FP1.
Alvise Rodella set the best time in the final 60-minute practice session ahead of qualifying, lapping the 5.8km circuit in 1m59.213 in the no87 Ligier JS P325-Toyota, just 0.062s ahead of the second fastest car, the no50 23Events Racing of Matteo Quintarelli.
The no29 Forestier by VPS Ligier was third quickest with Romain Favre posting a 1m59.312, just 0.099s behind the lead car at the end of the session. The no16 Team Virage Ligier was fourth, just ahead of the fastest car in FP1, the no92 Forestier by VPS Ligier.
The fastest car in the LMP3 Pro/Am class was the no34 Inter Europol Competition driven by Garett Grist, the Canadian posting a 1m59.500 which was sixth fastest overall and two places ahead of the second Pro/Am entrant, the no64 M Racing Ligier of Pierre Kaffer.
Grist’s best time was 0.353s slower than the best time set in FP1 by Anders Fjordbach in the no49 High Class Racing, the Dane finishing the FP2 session with the third best class time of 1m59.660.
The no98 Motorsport98 Ligier was fourth fastest in LMP3 Pro/Am with former MLMC Drivers Champion Gillian Henrion at the wheel in 11th overall.
The Ebimotors run Porsche 911 GT3 R was the fastest of the eight GT3 runners, with Sergiu Nicolae setting a best time of 2m04.117, just over a second slower than the best GT3 time of the day set by David Fumanelli in FP1. Fumanelli set the third best time in FP2 with a 2m04.380, 0.211s behind the second fastest car, the no51 AF Corse Ferrari of Eliseo Dunno.
The no11 Code Racing Development Aston Martin Vantage was fourth fastest finishing the session on a 2m04.480 set by Rory Van Der Steur.
Qualifying will take place at 11h50 on Saturday morning at the Circuit Paul Ricard.
