FP2 – Lap Times Improve as Teams Prepare for Qualifying in Portugal

The last free practice session of the 2021 Michelin Le Mans Cup saw the no6 ANS Team JSE Management Ligier of Nicolas Schatz post the fastest time of the 60-minute session, with the French driver’s best time recorded as 1m37.090, nearly one second faster than the best lap in FP1.

Schatz was nearly 0.5 seconds ahead of the second fastest car, which was the no16 Team Virage Ligier of Sacha Lehmann and Miguel Cristovao with a 1m37.537.The no60 Phoenix Racing and no22 United Autosports Ligiers were third and fourth fastest respectively.

The championship leading no7 Nielsen Racing Ligier finished the session in 24thplace with a 1m39.812 lap, while the no66 Rinaldi Racing Duqueine was 9thfastest.

The no2 Pzoberer Zürichsee by TFT Porsche 911 of Nicolas Leutwiler and Julien Andlauer was the fastest of the three GT3 entries once again, with a best lap of 1m42.291.The no9 Iron Lynx Ferrari was second fastest with a 1m42.397 and the no8 Iron Lynx Ferrari third with a 1m42.405.
