FP2: R-ace GP and Kessel Continue to Lead the Way in Le Castellet

R-ace GP and Kessel Racing topped the LMP3 and GT3 times for the second time today, with both cars going faster than the morning session.

Hadrien David posted a 1m49.362 lap in the no85 R-ace GP Duqueine, the French driver’s lap was 0.347s faster than his best time in the morning session.Round 1 winners High Class Racing were second fastest, with Tommy Foster posting a 1m49.503 lap.

Reigning champions Team Virage finished in third spot, with Ricardo Gracia Filho posting a 1m49.786 at the end of the session.Rinaldi Racing were fourth fastest, with Daniel Keilwitz setting a 1m50.173, 0.811s behind the lead car and 0.208s ahead of the fifth fastest car, the no87 COOL Racing Ligier.

David Cleto Fumanelli posted a 1m54.197 in the no12 Kessel Racing Ferrari, over half a second faster than the morning session and 0.436s ahead of his teammate Fran Rueda Mateos in the no74 296 GT3.

Porsche were third and fourth at the end of the 60-minute session with the no73 Proton Huber Competition Porsche 911 driven by Manuel Hauck in third thanks to a 1m55.205 lap, with Scott Malvern in the High Class Racing 911 just 0.038s behind.

Qualifying for the Le Castellet Round will take place at 12h30 tomorrow, starting with GT3 and followed by LMP3, with the 110-minute race due to get underway at 17h50 later in the day.
