Front Row Lock Out for Phoenix Racing at Spa

The no5 Phoenix Racing Ligier finished the 20-minute qualifying session at the head of the 26-car field, with 16-year-old Finn Gehrsitz posting the session best time of 2m13.704, 0.128s ahead of Thorsten Kratz in the no11 WTM Powered by Phoenix Duqueine.

The no8 Iron Lynx Ferrari of Gabriele Lancieri took the GT3 pole for this afternoon’s race at the chequered flag, pushing the no2 Pzoberer Zürichsee by TFT Porsche of Nicolas Leutwiler into second place by nearly four tenths.

Lancieri had been in second place for almost all the 20-minute session but was closing on the Swiss driver and posted his fastest lap when it mattered most with a 2m20.299 lap.Manuela Gostner was third fastest in the no9 Iron Lynx Ferrari with a 2m22.322, two seconds behind her teammate.

The scene is now set for the 2-hour race at Spa-Francorchamps later today, which is due to begin at 15h55.
