On a very warm Saturday morning, qualifying for Round 4 of the 2019 Michelin Le Mans Cup in Barcelona saw the no35 Krypton Motorsport Mercedes claim a debut GT3 pole with Stefano Pezzucchi claiming the top spot by just 0.039s ahead of the no8 Kessel Racing Ferrari of fellow Italian Sergio Pianezzola.

The championship leading no71 Luzich Racing Ferrari was third fastest with Fabien Lavergne heading the second row of the grid for the race.

In a nail biting LMP3 qualifying session the no39 Graff Norma M30-Nissan of Adrien Chila took the pole position at the chequered flag by just 0.054s, denying the no3 DKR Engineering Norma of François Kirmann the third pole of the 2019 season.

The no25 Lanan Racing Norma of championship leaders Duncan Tappy and Michael Benham didn’t take part in the session and will not take part in this afternoon’s race following the extensive damage to the car during the accident in yesterday’s bronze collective test session.

The 2-hour race in Barcelona is due to start at 13h00.
