The 2021 season now over, it is time to celebrate the Michelin Le Mans Cup champions!
After six rounds all around Europe the no8 Iron Lynx Ferrari was crowned 2021 GT3 Michelin Le Mans Cup champions and also won the coveted invitation for the 2022 24 Hours of Le Mans. The Italian team finished ahead of the n° 2 Pzoberer Zürichsee by TFT Porsche and the n°9 Iron Lynx Ferrari.
Nicolas Leutwiller : crowned GT3 champion
After the Portimão round, Nicolas Leutwiller, driver of the n°2 Pzoberer Zürichsee by TFT Porsche 911 GT3 R was crowned for the first time as GT3 drivers’ champion. After 6 rounds, the Swiss drivers scored 107 points, just ahead of Paolo Ruberti (Iron Lynx n°8) and Julien Andlauer his teammate.
Nielsen Racing, LMP3 champions
After finishing as Vice-Champions several times, Nielsen Racing, Colin Noble and Tony Wells were finally crowned LMP3 Michelin Le Mans Cup champions with the n°7 Ligier JS P320. A lowly 10th place at Portimão was enough for the British team to clinch the title after the 2-hour race. In second position was the 69 Cool Racing Ligier followed by the n°66 Rinaldi Racing Duqueine.
