After the historic first at Imola (first participation of an electric-hydrogen prototype in an international race) MissionH24 is continuing its pioneering programme, and will be at Le Mans this week to compete in the Road to Le Mans events (Michelin Le Mans Cup races that are curtain-raisers to the 24 Hours of Le Mans). It will also be a historic premier as it’s the first time that a hydrogen-powered vehicle entered in the experimental category by the H24Racing team will take part in races on the 24-Hours circuit.

H24Racing has set up home in the Maison Blanche paddock for the whole Le Mans week. On their driver Stéphane Richelmi’s programme are two free practice sessions (Wednesday 8th June: 12:25-13:25 and 20:30-21:30), two qualifying sessions (Thursday 9th June: 12:10-12:30, 12:45-13:05) and two 55-minute races in the middle of conventionally-powered rivals (Thursday 9th June: 18:30-19:25 and Saturday 11th June: 11:20-12:15).

During these sequences, the H24 will refuel at the TotalEnergies mobile station installed on the pit lane (at the entry) of the 24-Hours circuit like the other cars.

In parallel to taking part in the Road to Le Mans events, after the first free practice session the H24 will set a speed record for an electric-hydrogen vehicle on the Le Mans circuit on Wednesday afternoon at 13:35 on the first third of the Les Hunaudières straight before the first chicane.

And on Saturday, MissionH24 will bring down the curtain on its participation by a symbolic gesture. At 15:42 the H24 will set off for a lap of honour of the circuit from the front of the grid on which the competitors in the 90th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans have lined up for the start given at 16:00.
