MLMC at Monza – Facts and Figures

Monza saw the very first round of the 2017 season when the LMP3 and GT3 grids ran together for the first time as part of the Michelin Le Mans Cup.

The two-hour race in 2017 was won by Colin Noble and Tony Wells for Nielsen Racing, finishing 52 seconds ahead of eventual 2017 champions Jean Glorieux and Alex Toril in the DKR Engineering Norma.

The GT3 race was won by the Mercedes AMG GT3 of Lee Mowle and Phil Keen, with 2017 champions Emanuele Busnelli and Fabio Babini finishing third for Ebimotors.

In the five races held at Monza since 2017, Ferrari has won three times (2018/19/21), Mercedes (2017) and Porsche (2020) once in GT3.

In LMP3 Ligier (2017/21) and Norma (2018/19) have won twice and Duqueine once (2020).

The race at Monza has been won by three of the current LMP3 teams

  1. Nielsen Racing (2017)
  2. DKR Engineering (2018 / 2020)
  3. United Autosports (2021)

There are three previous winners of the Monza round racing this year –

  2. GT3 - Julien Andlauer - 1m48.118 - 192.9 kph

The fastest MLMC laps recorded at Monza were also set in October 2020 during Free Practice -

  1. LMP3 - Edouard Cauhaupe - 1m44.007 - 200.5 kph
  2. GT3 - Giacomo Piccini - 1m47.908 - 193.3 kph
