2025 LMP3 Champion Hadrien David claimed the third pole in a row for R-ace GP in a red flag interrupted final qualifying session. The French driver set a 1m38.160 halfway through the 15-minute session and this time was unbeaten at the chequered flag.
Oscar Tunjo in the no70 Gebhardt Motorsport made an early bid for pole, with Louis Rousset in the no29 going quicker by just 0.086s
However, it was Hadrien David who went into provisional pole with his fastest lap just before the red flag was shown.
The session was halted with 7 minutes 22 seconds on the clock when the no30 CD Sport of Thomas Imbourg spun off at T8 and stopped at the end of gravel trap. Imbourg managed to get his car going again but the red flag had already been shown, meaning all the cars had to return to the pitlane.
The session resumed with Matteo Quinatarelli in the no50 23Events Racing, Pierre-Alexandre Provost and Theo Micouris in the no16 Team Virage moving up the order.
At the chequered flag it was the no85 R-ace GP Duqueine ahead of the no70 Gebhardt Motorsport Duqueine who will start of the front row of the grid for Round 6 of the 2025 Michelin Le Mans Cup.
Terrence Woodward scored his second pole position of the 2025 season putting the Silverstone winning no28 23Events Racing Ligier at the 17 strong LMP3 Pro/Am grid. Woodward’s time of 1m40.429 was 0.147 seconds faster than the rest of the field with the no84 ANS Motorsport Ligier of Julien Lemoine taking the other front row starting position.
Championship leader Stefan Aust had a good session, putting the no71 Rinaldi Racing Ligier at the head of Row 2 with a 1m40.588, 0.159s behind Woodward and just 0.008 ahead of Ben Stone in the no26 Bretton Racing Ligier-Toyota.
Championship contender Steve Parrow finished the 15-minute session in 14thplace in the no66 Rinaldi Racing, with Eric De Doncker starting tomorrow’s race in 12thposition in the no98 Motorsport98 Ligier.
The no91 Blackthorn Aston Martin will start on pole position for tomorrow’s final race of the 2025 season with Alexander Martin posting a session best 1m44.555 lap on his MLMC debut, 0.365 seconds ahead of the rest of the field headed by Pascal Huteau in the no11 Code Racing Development Aston Martin Vantage.
Vanina Ickx posted her best time on the very last lap, putting the no83 Iron Dames Porsche on the second row in third spot, just ahead of championship leader Alessandro Cozzi in the no51 AF Corse Ferrari.
