For the second time today the R-ace GP Duqueine set the fastest lap in Free Practice, with Hadrien David beating his FP1 time by 1.3 seconds with a 3m46.651 on the full La Sarthe circuit at Le Mans.
However, while David was a second ahead in FP1, the gap was a lot closer in FP2 with Daniel Keilwitz posting a 3m46.656 lap right at the end of the session in the no66 Rinaldi Racing Ligier, just five thousandths of a second behind the no85 R-ace GP Duqueine. The no20 High Class Racing Ligier of Tommy Foster was third fastest on 3m47.307, three tenths ahead of the no7 Nielsen Racing Ligier of Wayne Boyd.
The no42 Stellar Motorsport Duqueine was fifth quickest 0.102s behind the Nielsen Racing Ligier and four tenths ahead of the sixth fastest LMP3 contender, the no22 WTM by Rinaldi Racing Duqueine of Leo Weiss.
AF Corse finished the final Free Practice session with a 1-2-3 in GT3.The no88 Ferrari 296 GT3 finished the 60-minute practice session with a 3m53.349 with Riccardo Agostini at the wheel, 1.4 seconds ahead of the no82 AF Corse run 296 of Emmanuel Collard.
Third fastest was the no80 Ferrari, with Michele Rugolo posting a 3m55.681, just 0.077s ahead of the no95 Racing Spirit of Leman Aston Martin Vantage driven by Valentin Hasse Clot. AF Corse took fifth spot after Alessandro Balzan posted a 3m56.011 lap, over seven tenths ahead of the no12 Kessel Racing Ferrari.
The next session will be qualifying for race 1, which is due to begin at 10h30 CEST on Thursday morning.
