With just two races left in the 2021 season, there is still a lot at stake for the teams and drivers competing in the penultimate Michelin Le Mans Cup race at Spa-Francorchamps on Saturday 18 September.

A large grid of 29 cars will compete in Belgium with 26 LMP3 and 3 GT3 cars making the trip to Spa-Francorchamps, with 21 teams and 58 drivers representing 19 different nations.There is one driver, Eric De Doncker, and two teams, Muehlner Motorsport and Motorsport98, who will be racing at home in Belgium.

GT3

  1. Championship leader Nicolas Leutwiler (71 pts) holds a comfortable 15-point advantage over his teammate Julien Andlauer (56 pts) and 29 points ahead of Doriane Pin.
  2. Leutwiler and Andlauer took their second win of the season at Le Mans, taking the chequered flag in the second of the two 55-minute races on the full 13.6km La Sarthe circuit.
  3. Because the team have been swapping drivers, the no8 Iron Lynx Ferrari is currently leading the Team Championship on 86 points, 30 points ahead of the no2 Pzoberer Zürichsee by TFT Porsche. The no8 Ferrari will be driven by Italian duo Paolo Ruberti and Gabriele Lancieri.
  4. Doriane Pin will be joined for the second time by Manuela Gostner in the no9 Iron Lynx Ferrari.

LMP3

  1. The LMP3 grid at Spa will consist of 26 cars with 18 x Ligier JS P320 and 8 x Duqueine M30-D08.
  2. Victory in the opening Road to Le Mans race last month gave Colin Noble and Tony Wells their second win of the season in the no7 Nielsen Racing Ligier. The British pairing are on 63 points, just 9 ahead of Alexander Mattschull and Nicolas Varrone in the no66 Rinaldi Racing Duqueine.
  3. Double race winners Scott Andrews and Gerald Kraut only scored 1 point at Le Mans, dropping the Australian-American duo down to third spot in the rankings with 51 points.
  4. The no21 Muehlner Motorsport Duqueine won the second race of the two Road to Le Mans encounters, scoring the Belgian teams first victory of the 2021 season.Moritz Kranz celebrated his first win of the season alongside ELMS racer Ugo De Wilde, but his teammate for the MLMC race at Spa has not yet been announced.
  5. Eric De Doncker will be hoping for some better luck at his home circuit, the Belgian driver being joined by his regular teammate Dino Lunardi in the no98 Motorsport98 Ligier.
