The Michelin Le Mans Cup never fails to provide high quality, action packed races and after two rounds the championship standings provide a look at who will be the ones to watch for Round 3 at Le Castellet 120 on Saturday 29th August.

GT3: Maximum Points for Iron Lynx

The no8 Iron Lynx Ferrari of reigning drivers champion Giacomo Piccini and Rino Mastronardi is the class of the field, with a maximum 52 points from the first two races. The Italian crew are 19 points ahead of the no67 Kessel Racing Ferrari of Murod Sultanov and Paolo Ruberti, the Russian-Italian pairing finishing 2nd in Round 1 and 3rd in Belgium.

The no50 Kessel Racing Ferrari of John Hartshorne and Oliver Hancock is third on 24 points after two 4th place finishes, while their teammates Michael Broniszewski and David Perel are on 18 points after a DNF in France and a 2nd place in Spa.

LMP3: DKR Engineering Still Top of The Class

2019 Champion Laurents Horr and 2017 Champion Jean Glorieux have got the 2020 season off to a great start with a win and a second place in the opening two rounds. The duo racing for DKR Engineering are on 44 points, with an 18-point advantage over the second placed car, the no37 Cool Racing Ligier of Spa-winners Edouard Cauhaupe and Nicolas Maulini.

Cauhaupe and Maulini are tied on 26 points with Dino Lunardi and Eric De Doncker, the no98 Motorsport98 Ligier finishing 2nd at Le Castellet in July and 6th at Spa.Edouard Cauhaupe and Nicolas Maulini are classified as second overall ahead of Lunardi and De Doncker thanks to their victory in Round 2.

Matthias Kaiser and Rory Pettinen are just 1 point further back, the no26 Graff Ligier on 25 points after a 3rd and 5th place finishes in the opening two races of the 2020 season.
