The no10 Racing Spirit of Leman Ligier was the fastest car in the first Free Practice session with 2022 MLMC Drivers’ Champion Tom Dillmann setting a 1m38.611, 0.1s ahead of the 2021 Champion Colin Noble in the no7 Nielsen Racing Ligier-Nissan.
At the end of the 60-minute session, the top 19 cars were covered by just 1 second, with the no66 Rinaldi Racing Ligier of Daniel Keilwitz third fastest with a 1m38.913, 0.3s behind the leading car and 0.019s ahead of the no4 DKR Engineering Duqueine of former champion Laurents Hörr.
In the GT3 class the no99 Bullitt Racing Aston Martin Vantage was the fastest of the seven entries, with Valentin Hasse-Clot finishing the session with a 1m43.185, 0.102s ahead of the no65 Team Parker Racing Porsche of Scott Jones.
The championship leading no55 GMB Motorsport Honda was sixth fastest with Kasper Jensen setting a 1m44.307, 1.122s behind the leading car but over half a second ahead of their nearest rivals in the Drivers’ Championship, Jens Moller and Gustav Birch in the no44 GMB Motorsport NSX GT3.
The second Free Practice session will take place on Saturday 15 October at 10h30, with qualifying starting at 14h15 in the afternoon.
