The second and final Free Practice session of the Barcelona Round took place on Friday evening with the times four tenths slower than the morning session. The leading car was the no6 ANS Motorsport Ligier of Nicolas Schatz, the French driver posting a 1m37.212 lap. This compares to the 1m36.816 lap set by Scott Andrews in the no22 United Autosports Ligier in the morning.
Andrews finished the afternoon session in second spot with a 1m37.651, just ahead of the no68 M Racing and the no97 Cool Racing Ligiers.
The GT3 category was headed by the no10 Racing Spirit of Leman Aston Martin, which had set the fastest time in the earlier session. Valentin Hasse-Clot set a 1m42.763 lap, 1.3 seconds slower than his best in the morning.Lamborghini were second and third fastest in the afternoon, with the no19 Leipert Motorsport Huracan of Patrick Kujala 0.4 seconds behind the leading Aston Martin and 0.3s ahead of the no63 Iron Lynx Lamborghini of Vincent Abril.
The scene is now set for the first qualifying session of the 2023 season, which is due to start at 12h30 CEST with the GT3 session followed at 12h55 for LMP3.
