The first 60-minute practice session for the 2025 Road To Le Mans was headed by the no85 R-ace GP Duqueine of MLMC race winner Hadrien David.
The session was red flagged after several stranded cars had to be recovered by the marshals, with the session resuming quite quickly once the cars had all be moved to safety or put back on track to return under their own power.
Hadrien David set a 3m50.288 right at the end of the red flag interrupted session, 0.570s ahead of the no92 Forestier Racing by VPS, driven by Charles Rousanne. The second Forestier Racing by VPS Ligier was third fastest with a 3m51.090, with Louis Rousset taking the chequered flag 0.232s behind his teammate and 0.354s ahead of the no53 Bretton Racing Ligier in fourth spot.
The no84 ANS Motorsport Ligier of Le Castellet race winners Julien Lemoine and Paul Trojani was the quickest LMP3 Pro/Am entrant, with Trojani’s lap of 3m53.259 good enough for 7th overall.
The no71 Rinaldi Racing Ligier was second quickest in the category, with Felipe Fernandez-Laser setting a best lap of 3m53.483, 0.224s behind no84 Ligier in 8thoverall. Rinaldi Racing also took the third fastest time in the LMP3 Pro/Am class, with the no66 Ligier finishing in 10th overall after Mikkel Pedersen lapped the 13.6km track in 3m53.583s, just 0.1s behind his German teammate.
The top spot in the GT3 category went to the no51 AF Corse Ferrari 296 GT3 of Eliseo Donno, the Italian heading the class with a 3m58.303 lap. Vincent Abril made it an AF Corse 1-2 in FP1, the no52 Ferrari posting a 3m59.582, 1.279s behind Donno and 0.633s ahead of the no65 Team Motopark Mercedes-AMG GT3 driven by Lukas Dunner.
The second Free Practice session of the Road To Le Mans event will take place this evening at 20h30 CEST.
