FP2: Team Virage Go Fastest on Day One at Le Castellet

The second and final Free Practice session of Round 3 of the 2023 Michelin Le Mans Cup saw the no16 Team Virage Ligier post the fastest time of the day with Gillian Henrion posting a 1m49.666 lap.

Nicolas Schatz also posted a sub 1 minute 50 second lap in the no6 ANS Motorsport Ligier to take second place with a 1m49.767 at the end of the 60-minute practice session.

Wayne Boyd was third quickest in the no23 United Autosports Ligier, beating his top FP1 time by 0.084s with a 1m50.724, 0.11s ahead of his teammate Scott Andrews in the no22 Ligier. Colin Noble was fifth fastest in the no77 Team Thor Ligier, nearly three tenths ahead of David Droux in the no97 COOL Racing Ligier.

The GT3 class was a 1-2-3 for Lamborghini, with Leipert Motorsport claiming the top two spots from Iron Lynx.The no19 Leipert Motorsport Lamborghini Huracan of Gabriel Rindone taking the top spot with a 1m54.980 lap, 0.753s ahead of teammate Brendon Leitch in the no70 Lamborghini.

Vincent Abril went third fastest in the no63 Iron Lynx Huracan with a 1m55.793, just 0.06s behind Leitch and nearly four tenths ahead of the no10 Racing Spirit of Leman Aston Martin of Valentin Hasse Clot.
