Due to the escalation of the Covid-19 (coronavirus), and following consultation with the relevant local authorities and the staff at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and Autodromo Nazionale di Monza, the decision has been taken to postpone the Collective Tests and opening round of the 2020 Michelin Le Mans Cup at Barcelona on the 4th April as well as the Monza round on 9th May.
The new dates for the Barcelona and Monza round will be communicated in due course. The Michelin Le Mans Cup organisers will continue to closely monitor the situation and provide updates if and when necessary.
Gérard Neveu, European Le Mans Series and Michelin Le Mans Cup CEO said: “This decision was not made lightly but is the appropriate and responsible decision. We had no other choice than to postpone our events. The welfare of our teams, members of the paddock and race fans has to remain our priority. We are working on a revised calendar and will communicate that in the next few days.”
