The first Free Practice of Round 3 of the 2023 Michelin Le Mans Cup saw the no23 United Autosports Ligier hold to the top spot at the end of the 60-minute session. Wayne Boyd’s 1m50.808 was the only sub 1 minute 51 second lap of the session but the top twelve cars were covered by less than one second.
The no7 Nielsen Racing Ligier was second fastest, with Josh Skelton’s 1m51.077 lap just 0.269s behind Boyd and 0.068s ahead of the third placed car, the no77 Team Thor Ligier of Colin Noble.
Road To Le Mans race winner David Droux was 4thfastest in the no97 COOL Racing Ligier with a 1m51.243, just 0.007s faster than Kirill Smal in the no2 CD Sport Ligier.
The fastest GT3 car was the Round 1 winning no10 Racing Spirit of Leman Aston Martin, with French driver Valentin Hasse Clot posting a 1m55.588 lap, 0.172s ahead of championship leader Anders Fjordbach in the no86 HCR with CaffeineSix Porsche 911.
Lamborghini was third and fourth fastest with the no63 Iron Lynx Huracan of Vincent Abril posting a 1m55.919, 0.5 seconds ahead of the no19 Leipert Motorsport Lamborghini of Patrick Kujala.
