The no22 United Autosports Ligier was the quickest car of the first 60-minute Free Practice session at Le Mans with Scott Andrews posting a time of 3m45.948 on his penultimate lap of the session.
The Australian’s time was 1.613 seconds ahead of the nearest rival, the no19 Cool Racing Ligier of Niklas Kruetten, the young German also posting his best of 3m47.561 right at the end of the session.
After heading the time sheets for most of the session the no3 DKR Engineering Duqueine ended up third fastest, with Laurents Hörr posting a 3m47.911 lap of 13.6km La Sarthe circuit.
The GT3 category was led by the no2 Pzoberer Zürichsee by TFT Porsche of Nicolas Leutwiler and Julien Andlauer, with the French driver setting a 3m56.551 lap.
The two Team WRT Audi R8s were second and third fastest until right at the end of the session when the no61 AF Corse Ferrari of Andrea Montermini set a 3m57.247 lap to go second and the no8 Iron Lynx Ferrari of Logan Sargeant went third fastest with a 3m57.486.
