The next Michelin Le Mans Cup race will take place at Monza on Saturday 12 May and is round 2 of the 2018 Series. The circuit in Italy is the fastest track on the calendar and is home race for many of the drivers on the grid. We asked two drivers, one from each class, about their thoughts on the next race at the home of Italian motor sport.
Jens Petersen
No3 DKR Engineering Norma M30-Nissan
“Monza is a great track and I am looking forward to the race there. There is a lot of history and it is certainly one of the top circuits in the world. I really hope the race won’t be as dramatic as the one in Le Castellet.”

Sergio Pianezzola
No8 Kessel Racing Ferrari F488 GT3
“Monza is our home track, so we will be having a lot of fun and a lot of friends joining us for the race. We know the race track quite well and we are going there to play our cards. It is not going to be easy because there a lot of strong crews in the other cars, but when you have the chance to fight it means there is a lot more fun and a lot more pleasure. So we will try to do all our best as we did in Le Castellet and I hope to be on the top step of the podium in Monza.”
