The no72 SMP Racing Ferrari of Victor Shaitar set the fastest time in the first 60-minute Free Practice of the weekend in Austria for the Michelin GT3 Le Mans Cup. The Russian driver, who along with his teammate Alexsey Basov won the Road to Le Mans race last month, set a 1m30.432, just 0.098s ahead of local hero Klaus Bachler in the no88 Mentos Racing Porsche.
The session was interrupted twice by red flags to recover cars that had gone off the circuit but only for a short time.
All of the eleven cars completed laps during the dry session and the second Free Practice session will take place at 16h35 this afternoon.
